Vol. 2, Issue 1
Hello everyone! Welcome to COBRA's Newsletter, The COBRA strike. This is where members and non-members can get up-to-date info on COBRA's results and other announcements.
Hello everyone,
Well, we have our 2010 COBRA schedule mostly finalized. Check it out on our “2010 Schedule” page. We would like to thank all of our Arena folks for the opportunity to use their facility. As you will see we are in several different arenas this year.
COBRA has joined CM Productions for race dates that feature Open 4D Doubleheaders AS WELL AS our COBRA races. This will bring folks to the events that would like to compete in a 4D format and give them the option to compete in a COBRA Event as well.
Our next race is March 28th, at Rendon Arena. We will be asking everyone to fill out a sample survey with 5 questions on horse and rider so we can show the results if everyone had run in a COBRA event. We will also be having a discount on COBRA memberships at this race. It is the last race before our COBRA season starts. Half of membership will be due at our first race, April 17th at Salt Creek Arena. You have until our June 12th race to sign up for COBRA and still have enough races for year-end awards.
Now, check this out. I did the numbers so you could all see how the payout structure of COBRA compares to a “D” race. This comparison was made using 100 entries at $45 an entry with a 75% jackpot. These numbers were used to compare apples to apples. I think you will be amazed, as I was to really see how much more the 3D, 4D, and 5D folks can get paid. These numbers really speak for themselves. The Board is all hyped up and ready for this season. Hope to see you at the race!
